Discover our journey to restore Malawi's forests
Planting seeds of change, one tree at a time
To be a leader in the tree restoration revolution, championing the reforestation movement and setting the gold standard for environmental rejuvenation.
To plant different seeds of change by restoring forests, one tree at a time, to create a greener, healthier planet for future generations.
Founded in 2015 by environmental enthusiast Tawonga Banda, Posiyé Gardens began with a simple yet powerful vision: to transform Malawi's landscape through sustainable reforestation.
What started as a small backyard nursery has grown into a movement that partners with communities, schools, and government organizations to restore degraded lands across Malawi.
Over the years, we've developed specialized cultivation techniques adapted to Malawi's unique climate and soil conditions, focusing on native trees and sustainable practices.
Today, we supply thousands of trees annually for reforestation projects and work with communities to create a lasting environmental impact through education and collaboration.
The principles that guide our restoration efforts
We implement eco-friendly growing practices that restore degraded lands and bring back native forests.
We empower local communities through training programs and collaborative restoration projects.
We preserve and propagate native plant species, contributing to Malawi's rich ecosystem diversity.
We teach communities about sustainable practices through workshops and educational resources.
We collaborate with government, NGOs, and businesses to maximize our environmental impact.
We ensure our operations support both environmental health and business viability.
